At FilmContract, we respect your privacy and provide you with the ability to delete your account and associated data at any time. This page provides instructions on how to request the deletion of your personal information.
How to Delete Your Data
Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your data is directly through the FilmContract mobile application:
- Open the FilmContract app on your device.
- Log in to your account.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap on Settings (gear icon).
- Select Account Settings.
- Tap Delete Account and follow the confirmation prompts.
Option 2: Email Request
If you are unable to access the app, you can request data deletion via email:
- Send an email to deepagestudios@gmail.com.
- Use the subject line: Data Deletion Request - FilmContract.
- Include the email address associated with your FilmContract account.
We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.
What Happens When You Delete Your Data?
When you request account deletion, the following actions are taken:
- Your personal profile information (name, bio, location, photos) is permanently removed from our active databases.
- Your login credentials and authentication records are deleted.
- Your account will no longer be visible to other users.
Data Retention for Legal Compliance
Please note that certain information may be retained for a limited period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:
- Contract Records: Signed contracts and associated transaction history are retained for a minimum of 7 years as required by financial and legal record-keeping regulations.
- Payment Records: Transaction details processed through Stripe are maintained by Stripe in accordance with their privacy policy and financial regulations.
